About Gracie Gato

Gracie Gato is a New Hampshire-based writer, journalist, and broadcaster known for sharp political commentary, investigative storytelling, and an unapologetically human voice. A native Los Angeleno with deep roots in radio, Gracie brings a blend of media experience, cultural awareness, and outsider perspective to New England’s political landscape.

Her work focuses on the systems that shape everyday life but rarely get examined closely: local government, power networks, civic institutions, political influence, media narratives, and the consequences of corruption and silence. She covers New Hampshire politics with a mix of humor, clarity, and receipts—making complicated stories accessible to the public without watering them down.

Gracie is the creator of Gracie Gato’s Speakeasy, a reader-funded Substack where she publishes independent reporting, cultural commentary, and long-form investigations. Her mission is simple: tell the truth clearly, document what others ignore, and give ordinary people the information they need to understand what’s happening around them.

In addition to her political reporting, Gracie writes about parenthood and autism awareness as the mother of an autistic, nonverbal son. Her work is shaped by real life—not branding—and she brings that lived perspective into everything she publishes: the stakes are never abstract when you’re raising a child inside the systems you’re reporting on.

Gracie’s voice is direct, resilient, and story-driven. She is not interested in performative politics, party loyalty, or polished talking points. She is interested in accountability, fairness, and the kind of journalism that serves the public, not the powerful.
